I use natural horsemanship methods and reining foundation training for colt starting, working with problem horses, and training ranch versatility and cow horses. My most important goal is to preserve a horse's try and to create a willing partner.
For colt starting, I recommend 90 days of training. In a typical colt starting, your horse will be able to walk, trot, and lope with a cadence. He/she will have a stop, be started on rollbacks, turnarounds, and collection. Your horse will have a soft feel in a snaffle or bosal and be able to move off of leg. Your horse will have ground manners, trailer, open gates, and will travel with me to work off the ranch.
I offer lessons and clinics for clients who want to improve their relationship with their horse, for ranch horse versatility training, and cowboy race training/coaching. I offer consultation on purchasing new horses or for marketing your horse for sale.
Lessons are $40. Overnight guests welcome, horse boarding/ $10 per horse per day.
